Borrowing in Advance
Every time I see the old calendar,
zhirr … moans the shrine of my heart.
Perhaps, my memories of bygone days are in pain;
the once shining spring ocean
and the summer’s mighty midday,
the unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions
and a promise that went astray.
On the ridge across the Strait, the weary Sun sits
Looking over his long day fly with bloodshot eye.
Soon the sky will orchestrate a stellar symphony; --
the darker the night, the grander the music gets.
After the symphony is over for the night,
The Sun will come back tomorrow, again, smiley & bright.
Yes, thankfully, Life often does that!
When a day, or a year, gets old and gone,
the Sunbird returns the next day with hopes on his back,
and gives the crumpled hearts
another chances to dream and yearn.
Thus, I dare
borrow new dreams in advance for the morrow,
though, it might break at the end, so I know. . .
