The WorkBC Wage Subsidy is an amazing resource for eligible job seekers who are looking to boost their job search, gain experience, and get a paid job.

It encourages eligible employers to hire and train job seekers who are registered with the service. This is because we provide employers with the funding and resources needed to help them hire you.

If you’re hired through registering for the WorkBC Wage Subsidy, you can get:



  • Paid work experience opportunities

  • On-the-job training

  • Opportunities to gain skills and long-term employment

Contact your local WorkBC Centre and explore if a wage subsidy opportunity is a good fit for you:

  • Talk to a potential employer about the wage subsidy and suggest they apply to hire you




 























Are you unemployed, underemployed or just looking for a new job?

WorkBC Centres are as ready as ever to support you with their free career services!





 










This employment program funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia provides one-to-one career advising, interview preparation, resume advice, workshops and more. You can view their full Menu of Services here.

The WorkBC Centres have also been:



  • Holding webinars on topics such as How to Prepare for Virtual Interviews and Job Fairs and providing virtual info sessions with employers who are hiring

  • Funding short and long-term training to be more competitive in the labour market

  • Hosting Career Planning workshops that enable job seekers to explore different careers, make decisions, set goals and take action as they move forward in their careers

  • Offering Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessments to help job seekers better understand their motivations, natural strengths and growth areas

  • Providing financial supports, such as transportation, work tools or clothing, required to find or start a job
