Job Options BC provides participants with:

• 5 weeks of daily employment and life skills training in a group setting designed to

• Increase confidence in looking for work

• Enhance understanding of job-related skills

• Improve Interview skills

• Develop self-marketing skills and tools

• Provide basic short-term training certificate courses (WorldHost, First Aid, Foodsafe)

• Funding assistance for supports such as transportation, workwear and tools

• Provide opportunity for networking with other job seekers

• Weekly training allowance for the first 5 weeks

• Job search support for the second 5 weeks

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Job Options BC participants are:

• Residents of Surrey

• Unemployed job seekers - not working and not self-employed

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Age 18 or older

• Not an Employment Insurance client

• Not a full-time student

• Able to commit to 10 weeks of job search training

• Motivated to find employment
