ISSofBC에서 재공하는 Youth Program - "Youth in Tech"

안녕하세요! Youth in Tech Program 의 정 에스더 입니다. 이번에 새로 시작된 youth program 소개 해 드립니다. 현재 가장 빠르게 직업이 창출되고 있는 Tech Industry의 Skills Shortage를 줄이고자 Youth in Tech 프로그램이 젊은 청년들에게 무료 교육 및 Work Experience를 제공 하고 있습니다. 자리가 한정되어 있으니 신속히 연락주세요~ 

- Tech에 관심이 있으신 분 (직접 website를 만드셨던지, 디지털 그래픽에 경험이 좀 있으신 분들 선호)

- 이민자: 시민권자, 영주권자 및 난민 

- 만 18세에서 24세 사이의 청년 

- 학교 미재학 (파트타임으로 재학중인 분은 상황에 따라 고려 가능 ) 

-  현재 직업이 있으시지만 직업에 전망이 없고 안정적이지 않으신 분 

- 9개월동안 프로그램에 참여하실 수 있는 분

YOUTH IN TECH is a new skills training and employment program customized for immigrant and refugee youth ages 18-24 interested in pursuing careers in BC’s rapidly expanding Tech sector. The program provides youth with hands-on opportunities to build digital skills, meet industry leaders, and gain meaningful work experience in Tech.

Youth in Tech offers:

> Technical skills training through our Tech Training Partners– courses in Web Development, Digital 
> Marketing/Design or Information & Communications Technology
> Paid work experience with our Tech Employer Partners – paid internships and wage subsidized placements
> Core and elective courses on job readiness, tech-specific language, critical thinking, essential skills and more
> Participant supports such as bus tickets and training allowance 

>  Flexible learning with online and in-person services

Eligibility:

> Immigrant or refugee youth between the ages of 18-24
> Permanent Resident, Naturalized Canadian Citizen, or Protected Person legally entitled to work in Canada
> Unemployed or not in stable employment
> Living in Metro Vancouver
> Not a full-time student
> Not participating in another government funded labour market program
> Committed to completing the training program and finding employment in Tech

Location:

Services are delivered at the ISSofBC Surrey Welcome Centre. However, the program is open to all newcomer youth living in Metro Vancouver.
