Job Title:    Early Childhood Educator (ECE Daycare Worker)

Salary Range:    Grid Level 10 ($15.54-$18.27 per hour)

Reports to:    Managers, Language Programs

DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society is currently recruiting Casual-On-Call Early Childhood Educators. The ideal candidate is alert and responsive to childrens’ needs at all times, fostering a caring and positive learning environment; leads children in activities, telling stories, teaching songs and leading discussions. Under the direction of the Childcare Coordinator, you will implement daily programs and ensure that all activities are developmentally appropriate. You will ensure the safety and hygiene of all children. You will also immediately report instances of child abuse to the child care coordinator.

You have a Grade 12 education and a valid ECE certificate. Previous experience in childcare preferred. You are capable of understanding and are highly sensitive to the needs of young children. You are able to work at various times to serve the variety of programs; morning, afternoon and evening. You have previous multicultural or cross-cultural experience and standard first aid training. A second language is an asset.
